After showering for what seemed like an eternity and changing into pajamas, Lindsay returned to her room for some real food. Or at least comfort food. Ice cream in this case. There were moments over the past few days when she thought she'd never have ice cream again. Or listen to her favorite albums ever again. Or talk to her family...

That's why she spent the rest of the night talking to Sam on the phone. She listened to him ramble about his new Atari game, the latest movie he saw with his friends, and his new crush without tuning out. She wanted to hear about everything.

She told him about being a TA for the crankiest, weirdest teacher ever, about living in the cabins, and working at a sporting goods store that would probably rival their dad's.

That was all he needed to know.

[establishy because I'm going to bed soon]

The day started out somewhat normally for Lindsay. She stopped by The Perk on her way to work like she did every Thursday. But there was something different awaiting her today. Something like the hideously deformed woman appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Lindsay froze in terror momentarily, the coffee cup cashing to the ground. The evil, deranged look in the woman's eyes made it clear she meant to cause some serious harm.

She didn't stick around to find out, instead opting to run in the opposite direction as fast as she could. For the first time in awhile, she hoped there was a God out there listening as she prayed that the thing didn't follow her. A crack in the universe enveloping her into darkness was not exactly the answer she was looking for.

Lindsay was not going to make it into work today.

[Yet another establishy post!]
